These courses have been designed for people wishing to improve their literacy skills. Courses offered range from basic to advanced literacy and numeracy and are aimed at students with limited skills through to those wishing to return to study.

Students will receive a Result of Assessment for units successfully completed.
In this particular study option, students will be completing this qualification entirely on-line via the internet. It is important that prospective students meet the following entry requirements prior to enrollment into this study option.
You can demonstrate that:
- You have at least two years experience in the workplace
- You have effective language, communication and interpersonal skills
- You have effective writing skills relative to a business environment
- You have written at least a two page report
- You am able to plan and organise, read, research, interpret, analyse and synthesise information
- You have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection
- You know how to use computer technology to research and develop learning and assessment resources
- You have a working knowledge of basic computer programs, such as word processor, internet browser, email.
You will need to have access to a practice workplace environment. This means if you are not currently working, you will need to simulate a workplace environment and deliver a training session to a minimum group of at least 3 people. You do need to choose training from an accredited Training Package and you will need to record yourself delivering the training session on video or alternatively through video conference.
Students should be aware that this course focuses on delivering training within the Vocational Education Training (VET) environment. Students will also be able to apply these learnings to a corporate industry training environment.
Please note: This study option requires students to enrol into all 14 units at the same time.
The TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a cross industry qualification and applies to people who have considerable responsibilty for:
- developing training programs
- delivery of training
- assessment of participants or employees
The course has been programmed to cater for a variety of learning styles, with a blend of workshops, self directed learning and workplace based activities.
Participants will study a range of courses that relate to:
The Learning Environment- how to work effectively in vocational education and training, how to foster and promote an inclusive learning culture, and how to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment.
Learning Design- how to use training packages to meet client needs, and how to design and develop learning programs.
Delivery and Facilitation- how to plan and organise group-based delivery, how to facilitate work-based learning, how to facilitate group-based learning and how to provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills.
Assessment- how to plan and organise assessment, how to assess competence, how to develop assessment tools, and how to participate in validation of assessment.
