What will I get out of this program?

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in programming and software development. A competent person could work as a specialist in the area of programming including the programming aspects of games development.

This qualification is self contained and requires no extra or prerequisite study.

Furthermore, it is possible to gain the extra qualification of ICA50505 Diploma of Information Technology (Database Design and Development) by completing additional units.

Do I need to have prior knowledge or work experience?

Completion of Year 12 or equivalent or mature age entry

What can I study after this?

Upon completion of the Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development), students who have applied for the Dual QUT or Griffith award through QTAC will receive automatic entry to the Bachelor of Information Technology at QUT or Griffith University. Students must complete the Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development) through BNIT in 18 months to receive entry to QUT/Griffith.

The course will take 18 months full time.

How much will it cost?

1st Semester: approx $811 or $412 on presentation of Health Card Card (HCC).

Students are also required to pay a yearly Administration Fee of $30.

This is a government funded program, and concessions may be available for eligible students. Refunds will only be provided after enrolment if requested prior to start of study, unless exceptional circumstances exist.

Fees are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Please check at the time of enrolment for confirmed fees.
