Are you highly motivated and results driven? Get a leading edge qualification by completing a dual Diploma/Bachelor package!

This program offers training in a wide range of business applications and is particularly suited to people who aspire to upper level positions in their career. Learn how to apply business and management skills across a vast range of areas including human resources and management.

The Diploma component has excellent articulation outcomes with graduates receiving direct entry into, and one year (full time equivalent) credit from the Bachelor of Business at QUT. This means 12 months with TAFE, plus two years with QUT (3 years total) to receive both a Diploma of Business and a Bachelor of Business. Please check with QUT for majors available in the Bachelor of Business program.

To provide the necessary underpinning knowledge and skills, the Certificate IV in Business and selected units from the Certificate III in Business are completed to form a comprehensive foundation for the Diploma of Business program.

What job opportunities will I have?

The Diploma component of this dual award aims to develop business, managerial, marketing, financial and human resource management skills to provide the knowledge required to pursue a career in a business related field.

Do I need to have prior knowledge or work experience?

Completion of Year 12 or equivalent with a sound achievement in English. Mature age entry must demonstrate experience and/or qualifications indicative of success.

Please note that entry into Dual Award programs are via QTAC application only. Brisbane North Institute of TAFE does not accept direct entry enrolments into this program.

What can I study after this?

Upon successful completion of the Diploma component, students enrolled into this Dual Award receive one year full time equivalent credit and direct entry into the Bachelor of Business at QUT.

How much time will I commit?

This program is offered over 12 months full time.

Method of study may include face to face delivery, online and independent study.

How much will it cost?

Approximate cost per semester: Full Fee $762/Concession $359.

Course cost includes an annual $30 administration fee.

This program attracts some government funding, therefore limited concessions may be available for eligible students. There are no refunds provided after enrolment for this program unless requested within 5 business days prior to start of study.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) identifies the skills and abilities you currently hold regardless of how, when or where the learning occured. This includes any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience.

The RPL process allows your teacher or assessor to consider and evaluate your skills and abilities against the learning outcomes in a unit of competency that you are seeking recognition for.

If you feel that you may be eligible to receive RPL, discuss this form of assessment with us prior to enrolment.
